DELTA [v] Expert Teaches Industry Seminar
Los Angeles, CA - Tim Cheek, Principal Engineer at DELTA [v] Forensic Engineering, Inc., instructed an industry seminar titled “Accessing and Interpreting Heavy Vehicle Event Data Recorders” on December 6-9, 2010. The course was sponsored by the Society of Automotive Engineers and served as its inaugural educational event on HVEDR technology. Tim Cheek and John Steiner of KEVA Engineering, LLC developed the course’s content and presented the material during the four day event.
The course’s objectives were to understand the sources of HVEDR data, learn how to access the recorded data, and interpret the data as it pertains to collision reconstruction. The event combined classroom and hands-on technical instruction to educate participants on the latest HVEDR technology. The course was attended by 27 of the nation’s most prominent motor vehicle accident reconstructionists including DELTA [v]‘s founder and professional engineer, Brian Anders.
Due to feedback from this course and its popularity, plans are being developed to offer the course again May 17-20, 2011 in Charlotte, NC. For more information or to register for that course, please visit http://www.sae.org/pdevent/C1022.
